Polish chick dying!!!

Yikes.
I am sorry but it is probably best to cull her and get it over with.
I too would never buy from this person again.

I am sorry.

I highly recommend culling and sending her body to our state lab so you can know for sure what your dealing with and plan accordingly.

Oh my gosh, this is so overwhelming. I’ve purchased so many chicks from her and I’ve never had any problems. She’s a very nice lady and very knowledgeable. Her facilities are always very clean too.
Is there any way to diagnose this without a necropsy?

But you said you've had sick chicks before and the breeder knew this one was sick when she gave it to you....see quotes below...
She new she was sick so she just gave her to me.
I had a chicken in the past that I’m pretty sure had that because she had recurrent respiratory infections with the same symptoms.

No, not definitively....if you can't get good labs run, you won't know exactly what disease this bird had.

The other chicken I had that was sick came from a different place.
And yes, she did just give me this one when she saw it was sick. The other two chicks I purchased from her at the same time.
Goodness, I wish I wasn’t such a softy!!! I’m already attached to her but I am concerned about the safety of my existing flock. This does appear to be the exact same thing my older bird had before and exposed all my flock to. One or two of my birds did get sick as well but none have since then and it’s been several years. Do you guys think it would be ok to try to save this one and keep the them isolated until no further symptoms are seen for a month or so then put them all together? I’m assuming my flock has already been exposed from my other bird.

Nice ladies don't give people ticking bombs.

It is up to you, but there are about 5 common diseases. The sickness you had before, may not have been coryza, but it could have been. Mycoplasma (MG,) coryza, ILT, infectious bronchitis, and aspergillosis are common ones, and each one can have secondary bacterial diseases present at the same time. Your local vet could do PCR testing for both coryza and MG on the live chicken, or your state poultry lab may be contacted as well. If you close your flock until all birds are gone, you can wait a few weeks and get new healthy baby chicks from a hatchery to start over without a disease. Here are links for both your state vet and a list of the common poultry diseases:

Our state lab listed above does to MG and MS testing.
You can mail in swabs yourself.
