Polish chick pecked at - missing feathers

I would say try it!😉 When my Baby Margo had this problem I had a friend with her! One that did not peck her. But then her friend grew up (after like a month) and got a bit bored so she plucked out a tiny bit (but not anything bad). Then my polish had to live alone for a tiny bit. But her healing process took a long time because she was very bald! So try it and if you notice bullying then remove the friend.😉
Mine has a quarter-size bald spot just above her tail feathers or what's left of her tail feathers. I went to get some blukote tonight, but it took me so long that it was dark when I got back, and she's roosting on an empty flower pot on the porch, so I decided not to disturb her until tomorrow. I hate to take the other golden-laced polish away from the rest of the flock because she gets along just fine with them, but she seems the best candidate for being a friend. The buff-laced Polish I have is a bit feisty and even goes after my roosters! I'll just see what tomorrow brings. If nothing else, I'll take her outside and let her peck around if she's not too terrified. They were actually living on my porch until a week and a half ago, so she's not too scared there. I just hate for her to get lonely.
