Polish Chicken - Hen or Roo?

Do you only have one polish or a few ? I admire this breed a lot! Great layers, social fun birds. The jumpiness may go away as she gets older.

Just the 1, so far. I just got her about a month ago. My husband is polish and has been wanting to get one...lol! They are defiantly goofy!

The cockerel is 4 months, the other one is 3 months. Their both full siblings; out of buff laced x silver laced.

Both very pretty! But yes I agree, looks like a cockerel and 2nd one a pullet...but again Polish is a new breed to me and sometimes a little difficult to tell.

Thank you for putting the photos and age, it helps others for the future to see and compare mine are old gals and I have a hard time finding their chick photos (7 years old). I have new additions, but they are rather small at the moment.

Love the cockerel 'do. Did you give him a name?

No. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep him yet, I have SO MANY roosters! The older he gets though, The more I start wanting to keep him. Any body have any name ideas?

Well she is a hen alright...although she does tend to crow sometimes and mounts other hens...but lays eggs. ugh...

About 15 weeks old...first time having a polish variety. Acting a little jumpy and always stands alert. Really, really hoping to have a pullet.... What do you all think? Noticed that tail feather to the side today (in picture #2)

This was in fact a HEN!! But she did mount my other hens and acted like a rooster her entire life.
