This is Pom Pom. We inititally thought hen but now we’re wondering if it’s a rooster? We noticed it maybe has a spur developing. ItS about 4-5 months old

Can you get a side standing shot? It looks like a pullet. Female Polish seem to get spurs a lot.

With the wattle development at this age I am leaning towards cockerel. Also crest appears to more "waterfall" from the side as apposed to rounded, though does not have the typical punk rocker crest you see with boys, may develop later.

Lot's of hens get spurs and some even crow!

Saddle feathers will tell the accurate story on your Polish gender as they start coming on most non hen feathered breed by about 12 weeks..

ETA: At the stated age it would be a pullet or cockerel as they don't get hen or rooster badges until 1 year old. My guess without seeing saddles is pullet..

I’ll try to get one tomorrow. I’ve never seen the rooster mount her/him but it’s also our weirdo chicken. It broke a wing as a baby and almost died and it’s had a weird off personality ever since lol. Doesn’t seem to hurt or anything though and even does short flights
