I have two Buff Laced Polish hens that are extremely aggressive to the rest of the flock. They even want to tangle with full grown roosters! I had heard of Polish chickens usually going down, and giving in when put with an aggressive flock. Not these two, they are in a very aggressive flock, and are close to the TOP on the totem poll. At first only one of them was aggressive, so I dismissed her as an oddball, but then my other hen started taking after them. Both of them have a thirst for dominance in the run. Has anyone else discovered this with their polish hens?

Are you sure they are hens? That is pretty unusual behavior for a female, but polish are nutty, and I'm never surprised by them.

Interesting, could be they are in that hormonal phase which some go through as they start laying, they may calm down a bit after a while.
