Its a straight run chick...to early to tell if its a pullet/cockerel. The crest is JUST starting to come in. For the sake of this post, ill say 'she'. She will occasionally charge at me...but does just fine sitting on my fingers, even though she looks for any way to escape after awhile.
I have chicken wire over the brooder and on a whim, I stuck my fingers in the holes and talked to them on my way to bed. She jumped up and pecked at me! This is my first flock...can little pullets be that protective/aggressive? She's probably 2.5 weeks, at most.
