My White Crested Black Polish Hen got pecked by OEGB Rooster last year around this time and finally in the beginning of last summer I separated her from the others. After that she also had her first molt. She looked miserable.
Currently she looks great EXCEPT the fact that the area where the Rooster plucked her feathers looks still somewhat bald.
Are the feather follicles destroyed forever? Is there still hope that she would get a beautiful white crest? Is there anything I can do to promote the feather growth?
