Polish crested with injured beak?

I noticed a couple days ago that one of our polish had what looked like blood on their beak. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on with the poor little thing? My polish do this sometimes. Their beak/nose is shaped just right so that if they slam/fly into the wire mesh, like your pen is made of, it gets a scar. Either that or (s)he has gotten in a fight/squabble.

4, going on 5 months now.

Unless it is wet, I think I see hackles and saddles.

Since you two know polish, what are your thoughts? I don't see anything concerning. Just wattles from what I can see.

Alright, so I know that this is super late but I finally got some good pictures and he's definitely developed more. I'd be confident in saying this is a rooster now, correct?
