They may be partying in their secret pool and getting a little carried away. I'd fill the hole and see if it stops

That hole is probably where they had been dust bathing in warmer weather, and the rain or snow had accumulated there. It would be best to fill it in during the cold winter months, but they need a dust bath year round.

I filled the hole! And they were definitely partying in it lol, I caught them drinking from it. Guess mud water tastes better than fresh
