Polish Feather Trimming

Hopefully I put this in the correct thread, please redirect if not.

We have our first Polish hen. Doe the feathers around the eyes need trimmed so she can see?

If so, any tips?

I always trim the feathers until they can see either side otherwise they just have tunnel vision. I just do it carefully but the trouble is that after you have trimmed the feathers closest to their eyes, other feathers fall down so you have to keep going!

They do love it when they can see more tho, so good luck

I trim my four buff laced hen because they have muffs and a lose top, I don't trim my white crested blue hen, she seems to see fine without trimming even though I can't see her eyes. I do trim the whole crest pretty short.
