Polish Gender- NEW question

My three 10 week old polish, by this age should I be able to tell male and female? Number 1 is a male, spikes, red wattles. I wonder if you can tell at 10 weeks old. On number 3, that black feather is not a spike, it's flat and round.

No. 1 is a male, no doubt. Below

No. 2 here has some spikes growing in the back of it's head. Does that make a difference? Below

I think you're right. The first one looks male, and the second two I'd guess are females. I've got 4 12wk polish, and I'm pretty sure I've got mine accurately sexed. The cockerel has a lot of red at the top of his beak/comb area, and the other three have no red at all. My cockerel also has pointy saddle feathers that have developed, and the other three all have rounded feathers at the base of their tails. Your birds' hairdos look like mine did a couple weeks ago.

Jossanne, thanks for the reply. It's mostly number 2 I keep going back and forth on. I wonder if spikes on the back of the head mean male.

Any more guesses?

Being Polish, I was intrigued by the title of this thread. I really have no other business being here, as I do not have any PCs. . . . but if I had to guess, I'd agree that #1 is male, #3 is female, and #2 is still experimenting.

This morning when I look at #2's waddles that are so red, I am wondering about that one too. Judging by hairdo, I'm guessing female, but those red waddles...

Do you see any pointy saddle feathers on any of them? My females have saddle feathers starting to droop by the base of their tails, but they're all rounded. My one that I KNOW is a cockerel has very pointy saddle feathers.

Here's a pic of my buff-laced pullet and two silver-laced. The silver-laced cockerel is to the left (his crest is obviously male-looking), and the silver pullet is next to the buff. You can see the shape of the buff pullet's crest and it reminds me quite a bit of your #2 bird. I thought she was a cockerel until just the last couple of weeks, and have decided she's a she because of the rounded feathers in her saddle area and no red at all in her face. I included this specific picture of her so you can see the backs of the two silver birds crests, and how the female has a few spikes in back.

Wow, I surely appreciate those pictures. I see what you're saying.
Number 2 is still a question, but I'm still thinking boy, but wishing girl. The first cockerel is really in my face-tame, but if I pick him up, he squaks and squiggles. Number 3 just doesn't fuss at all, and number 2 also squaks and squiggles.
I hate this waiting. I don't want to get attached, but it's just too hard to keep a distance. I just can't have a zillion roos. I already have 5.

I wonder what happened to all the Polish owners out there and they're words of wisdom?

My 3 Polish are wcbp cross with blp. I have one more who is 10 days older. The older one and the younger roo-#1 have dark brown feather streaks on their bodies.
The female does not-#3. Neither does #2-the one I can't decide.I remember my first batch of BLP-the males got those dark brown colors.
Do you think that since #3 is a girl-no brown and the 2 known males-have dark brown design on them, that the questionable one-no brown- is a girl?
