Polish getting pecked badly!!!!!! Help please!

3 weeks and picking on each other??

Really I would love to hear of a story of someone that they are all getting along doing great, You know!!

I have 16 and 5 are polish.. are my numbers better off??

I have NO problems.. no one picking on the other, my EE does stand up to all the other bigger girls but, no one seems to bother the polish girls..

Am i going to run into problems down the road? If that is the case that darn hatchery for selling them mixed toghther like that.

Mine all get along great. they are going on 7 weeks now.

the very next day I did see one of my polish being pecked but it wasnt in a mean way at all.. see she was eating watermelon and her feathers were wet.. the one was messing with the wet feathers.

Today it rained real bad and their heads well lets say that they were having a real bad hair day. Well one got pecked that the feather shaft was bleeding. I really think that it is because their feathers dont look right when they are wet.

I do watch them quite a bit and they stand up to the others all the time.. It also might have something to do with the fact that when they are wet they seperate to expose the skin..

Opinions??

Will any top hat breed get along with polish chickens or should only polish be put with polish? My brother-in-law ordered 3 polish and 1 died with a very bad case of cross-beak, and another the in-laws dog ate. So he's looking for some opinions on what he can get to put with his polish for company. He also has 4 barred rocks, 2 phoenix, and 2 cochins, but they will be separate from the polish.
