My Polish hen looks and acts fine. She's active, mobile, and is eating OK. I only notice the congested sound in her head when I pick her up and hold her. She's not in any distress. I don't see any nasal discharge. But she's a little rattly in the head.

Is this a cold? I've read about VetRx. Should I get some? TIA.

I would watch her in case she develops watery or bubbly eyes, nasal drainage, sneezing, or swelling around eyes or face that may be a sign of a respiratory disease such as infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma, coryza, or ILT. Vet RX is a mix of herbal oils, and won't heal a respiratory disease. Look for signs of mold or high ammonia levels in the coop which can cause respiratory symptoms. Here is a list of common diseases and symptoms to watch for: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044
