This chicken showed up at a house and I took it in until the owners can be found. By the picture they had posted on our local facebook page I thought it was probably a hen. When I went to pick it up I decided it was a rooster because it had big Spurs. I introduced it to my hens and after establishing the pecking order, all is well. I went to the coop to make sure everyone roosted ok and found an egg on the floor by the chicken door. When I got into the house and in the light, I noticed the egg is off white like a polish egg. My chickens lay brown and green eggs. I've seen hens with small Spurs but this is crazy. Will someone tell me this is normal for a polish and it is in fact a hen. Or, did one of my chickens suddenly start laying a different color egg?
