Polish pictures

Well I'm glad your little one is recovering. I've been breeding silkies for 8+ years and have had the occasional vaulted skull and never had a problem. Mine free range with large fowl and they manage to keep out of trouble. In my experience wry neck is more often than not a thiamine B1 deficiency.
That's what I've heard is a major causer, but the grain I buy isn't lacking in that, and the chicken recovered without a food change. But that's great that your vaulted do so well

Hi seminolewind,
Thank you for your input on Bluette. I rescued 20 of the hoarder hens. Four in Dec and 16 this month. I had to build another coop/run to adopt 16 more and it's hard to find someone willing to build chicken coops in 10 feet of Maine snowbank and 5 degs.
I looked at your "page" from 2010 and saw your pic of the unnamed d'uccles. Here are four more of the rescues and they look a bit like that pic. There's a combo of crests, beards, muffs, tiny single combs, pea combs, some, including Bluette, teal/blue ears..... Obviously they're a bit tattered at the moment with a couple missing toes from roosting on metal bars. The one sitting on the log is slightly larger, but they all lay consistently peewee-small cream and green eggs and are screechers.) Any thoughts on this quad?
