Wow! This is probably a dumb question but are they just polish or is there a frizzle gene involved too?

Yes these guys are Polish and they have the frizzle gene too

I keep a frizzled Polish roo over normal smooth Polish girls for breeding. About half (on average) of the chicks born to this breeding will be frizzled Polish.

I just set my pen up for breeding so I will have frizzled Polish eggs for sale in a few weeks if anyone is interested.

Here is my white crested roo Archie, a question about his colouring, is he white crested black? or something else due to the buff feathers on his neck? the little feathers that hang straight down at the sides at the front of his tail (not sure what they are called) are also flame coloured

He's handsome!

But yes he is a mix. White crested Black should be all Black with a White crest.

How old are they? How quickly were you able to sex them? Mine still has me guessing.
