Of course this would happen on a holiday when I can't get to any medicines... I have a polish pullet that is under respiratory distress. When we found her, she was on her side flinging her head back and gasping for air. After picking her up (head/neck limp) I saw blood in her nostril and one of her eyes bulging out with red swollen tissue poking out. I opened her mouth to check for obstructions but couldn't see anything. I did notice that she had bloody clotted tissue in her choanal slit and was able to clear that out with a q-tip. I have her inside, under a heat lamp and resting. She isn't flinging her head back as much and while still breathing heavily, is a little more controlled now. I put a dab of vetRx on her naries but not too much. I am at a loss...and am hoping someone could have some advice to offer. TIA

Edit: She just pooped and it seems to be a normal. She is not eating or drinking. I've syringed some nutri-drench w/electrolytes and a little bit of ACV into her mouth. Carefully avoiding her trachea so she doesn't aspirate.
