This is Pepperjack my polish chick he's almost 4 mo. I think he's a Roo. But I watch him closely and he has no behavior of a Roo. No calls no interest in any ladies. Acts like a hen foraging all day. Input is appreciated.

Boy. Lots of rooster feathers and that red on back? Roo pattern in mixed color breeding.

As for behavior, he's still young.

Thanks he's very jumpy. And a loner. I ended up having 5 Roos out of my 13 chicks. Ahhhhhh. The local feed store said they were sexed. Wrong! Nevertheless Peperjack is staying he's so interesting to watch.

I have raised quite a few chickens over my life and have decided that in almost every flock there are about two chickens that decide to act a little different. It makes raising them fun. The most interesting is when a hen acts just like a rooster----

All the other Roos from the clutch are playing the part. Not Pepperjack. It is fun. I'll post another pic in about a month. Thanks!
