Good morning,
I picked up a group of polish babies about a month ago, (I'm guessing they are about 5 weeks old now) and this little one looks a little different from the rest! It has 5 toes on one foot but not the other, soft feathers and very sweet, so maybe a silkie? or just a barnyard mutt?
Thanks for the help!

It’s a pure silkie. All the silkie mixes I’ve seen have smooth feathers, not the regular silkie fluff.
You are correct that first generation crosses will be hard feathered. But crosses bred back to Silkie and second generation crosses can be silkie feathered. :)
