Color has nothing to do with it. I'm looking at eye size and shape, shape of face, and Crest size and shape. I have both silkie and polish hens so I'm familiar with both breeds.They’re different colors. That why they don’t look alike.
The bin was marked crested but the lady called them polish. They use Ideal, or at least that's what the ancient sign says.Was the bin marked Polish or Crested? Do you know what hatchery the feed store gets its chicks from?

Looks like that's definitely a possibilityI wondered. It almost looks more like a Silver Spitzhauben chick than a Polish "assuming Silver Laced". Ideal use to sell Spitzhaubens but they don't list them on the website this year.
