Honestly not sure. I picked them up as week olds the 1st weekend in April. So they are 5 month old. They moved out of the house June-ish. And it has been extremely hot here for months, up in the 100s. It just started cooling down 80-90s these past 2 weeks.
Now I will have to watch them more carefully. They are pretty low on the pecking order. I am in the process of moving my chickens into a larger barn were they will have their own coop & runs to separate out the breeds. They will share with some very young Polish. Right now they free range with the rest of the mob.
I have noticed that all the Polish are lowest on the pecking order. They need to be separate for their own safety. I have found them squeezed into impossible places and can't get back out.
On the flip side they are beautiful, funny/dopey and pretty darn friendly.
Mine are just about 2 1/2 months old and I'm pretty sure I have 3 girls, maybe 4 and the other 4 are boys. I will be asking for help in choosing the roo's that will stay, what I have in girls and what I need to add to the group. One question that I have asked but went unanswered is, can they have too big of a crest? These things have much larger crests then I've seen posted here. I've already started trimming them even though I'd like to see how they mature, one couldn't find her way back into the coop and was running into things. Funny thing is the one that popped her crest first doesn't have such an over zealous crest as the rest but her's is still a bit larger then what I'm seeing here. Is it just their age?
These were taken about 2 weeks ago, so about 2 months
Here's one hanging out in my chicken chair
Looking for Frizzled Buff Laced Bantam eggs. Right now in my buff pen I have 2 girls and 4 boys. I need A) more pullets and B) frizzle gene. Anyone have any eggs for sale?
Crest size has nothing to do with gender, it has to do with quality.
I'd wait on the Silver Laced, the WCB I'm not 100% sure is a boy either. I've had some pretty ratty crested WCB's before, and plenty with too big of wattles.

I believe NoseyChickens has some and she is in North Edwards CA I think. You will see her posts on the Ameraucana thread and she has had some auctions for her white Ameraucanas. Good Luck! I want/need some too. Ended up with 3 boys out of 4.

I know that crest size has nothing to do with gender, I was just wondering if "size mattered" if too much. I'm thrilled with the big hair (loved the 80's) but was wondering if they had too big of crests.
If that WCB is a girl I'd pee my pants! But you're questioning the SL? I need some depends!
Thank you all for the input.....I have 8.......l'll be a pest!
