Here is my GLP "Lennie" - now 19 weeks old. She is the most vocal of the small flock of four. She can go on for hours with her squaking. Pretty funny though. Especially if she sees or hears me nearby. No eggs yet. I assume she'll get even louder once she starts laying

The other three are EEs and an Australorp.

my wife wanted some afro chickens, so I traded a friend of mine some white Americana eggs for some blue polish eggs and the first two hatched out sunday here are the little bugars

At 20 weeks and 2 days, Lennie just produced her first egg yesterday. What a delight to see that first white shiny egg in the nest box. She made a lot of noise for many hours before she finally disappeared in the nest box and got very quiet. I didn't hear squat from her once she was done laying either. Thank goodness! I was afraid I'm gonna have to get ear plugs.

where does lennie come from ?

She's a beauty.

Lennie came as a chick from Murray McMurray Hatchery and was raised for the first 12 weeks by some folks in a nearby town. I "snatched" her together with a nice Easter Egger of the same age. The two are really best buddies. Always sleep side by side. Although all of my 4 chickens do that they

each other. No problems with pecking on each other. They are such sweethearts.

You mean you haven't bronzed Lennie's egg/? Hop to it. YOu can save it for posterity, or some high toned word like that.

This is my bantam Polish "Lacey". She's about 10 weeks old. I don't know what to call her color. She's from Boggy Bottom Bantams, from his black-crested white stock/ I got blacks, whites, a grey-red mottled type--Gracie-- and her.
Anyone want to name this color? She's gorgeous in person.
I'll post Gracie, the grey & red mottled, tomorrow. She has a stunning large head crest and is extra compact.

The other great thing is Lacey's personality. She's as friendly as a d'Uccle, and smart, and not anxious or flighty at all. She's about the nicest bird in my flock, and if I could keep only 3, she'd be one.
Lacey follows me all around, likes to be put on my shoulder, and just wants a nice neck scritch for all her efforts. She'll also sit in my lap inside if I want to rest or use the computer.
