Ok I have not taken pictures yet of my new polish rooster, he is really flighty and not good quality at all but I have a soft heart for the "odd" balls. Anyway I have never seen this before but his tail goes straight to the left definatly not centered where it belongs. I mean it really points all the way to the left and is never up straight ever. He also follows me and pecks at my feet everywhere I go. He is a real loner also I only have him in with the birds I got with him but he never goes with them. Is this normal polish behavior I have never had a full grown polish before Oh and he has never crowed not once and I am 100% sure he is a roo. Age 7 months old

The tail issue is called wry tail - In shows it is a disqualification, and in general it is a genetic defect. Him being lonely is also linked to him not crowing - He's just maturing slowly and probably the odd one out, so it may take him some time.

thanck wry tail huh.. I had no intenstions of showing him but that is good to know it does not hurt him. I keep alot off "odd" ball chickens who are given to me because of there flaws. I have show birds also but they are seperated. Thanks for the info I think I will spend more time with him he will come around.

Hope to post his picture soon he is a nice bird.

Would appreciate input on the colors of my new polish chicks. This hatch was combined with black wc roo over chocolate hens and chocolate roo over chocolate hens. I am thinking that of the eight chicks that hatched, two are black and the rest are either chocolate or khaki. I have never had polish chicks before and I'd like opinions on whether these are khaki or chocolate. I can tell that two are black. Thanks for any opinions.

I am thinking (L-R) khaki, chocolate, ????, and black.

Looks like Chocolate (or possibly khaki), chocolate, khaki, and black. . . But I'm no expert. In fact I've never seen them as chicks, just basing it off of BBS.
