What about the tolbunts?

The inbreeding and poor genetics cause them to just up and die at any given age, with no symptoms of illness or mutations.

Ah okay. Thanks.

I have three polish hens....one has a v comb and it is rather prominent...but then I thought she was a roo for a long time. She acts like one and only lays an egg or two a month....and lordy does everybody know about it when she does...no one will even go near the nest box till she is well clear of it.

She's beautiful! Love the drama queens! I had one follow me around squawking like a crazy chicken until I sat down so she could settle in and lay an egg!

These are the first Polish that I have hatched and they have been vigorous and healthy from the start. I read the same thing and was worried, but they haven't had but one problem and that was due to giving them medicated chick starter. My one rooster chick started to loose weight and be lethargic. Most likely because the medicated chick starter starves their system of Thiamine. I took them off of the medicated feed and put them on Purina Flock Raiser, plus gave them GQF Vitamins plus powder in their water and he recovered right away and is fine now

i would like to share a trick that has worked for me.. i feed chick starter for the first month and then switch them to turkey or quail starter as it is higher in protein and helps them with the extra feathers they have to grow and my birds are doin awesome

That sounds like a great idea, but our feed stores don't carry turkey or quail starter

They just carry the Purina Flock Raiser which is higher in protein and safe to feed all varieties of fowl.
