My WC Black pullet was Reserve of Show today at the State Fair Open Show. This is a different bird than the hen that was RS a few weeks ago at the SW WA Fair. I find I can't go to 2 shows with the same bird closer than about 4-6 weeks apart because of the show grooming involved. I'm still looking for that BIS- but not complaining...

Here are my baby BL from Tricia in southern CA. Anyone think that I have one of each gender ?

Cory in the background ! Anyway since he is darker I was thinking boy ? Not that it matters unless they mate I need to be sure to remove her eggs. "Don't want no Frazzels"

Yup. A friend has room for 4 bantams in his truck for me and Rob and I are flying. Can't wait!!!

Wow, they're beautiful! But I have enough trouble figuring sex on straight feathered birds....wow, how do you figure these out? Lay and egg or crow?

Yup lay an egg and crowing are the only sure way to tell. Except Cindy has a post on her web site describing the differences in the crest at one or two days. Also it is not unusual for the male Buff Laced Polish to be darker than the female but this is all not 100% perfect as if anything is perfect.

I promised Seminowind I would post pics of my two Crele Polish. I was hoping I had a pair but am not sure..afraid both are roos. I wonder if I cannot find any Crele hens what I would get if I breed these to standard colors. I would love to find someone else besides sc-birdfarm who have hatching eggs or ship chicks. Anyone have an idea??

Can anyone give me an idea of what sex they think these may be. I read somewhere that young roos will have a "bump" on their legs above their toes around where spurs would grow. But I was looking at my 2 year old Blue Andalusian hens and they have that little bump on theirs...Any ideas? Thanks so much!!
