Polish Thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found the Tolbunts fairly easy..finding gold laced on the other hand is like looking for a needle in a haystack. . Still can't find any hatching eggs..

It's the other way round here in the UK! Can get gold lace but tolbunt not so common. Would love to add some tolbunt to my flock :love

I've got 6 gold lace hens but no tolbunt :hit

wish we weren't across the globe from each other, we could just swap..lol..I sent messages to a few members that had old classifieds for gold laced or gold laced tolbunt split eggs, so hoping I hear back from one of them n they still have them..
Your birds are beautiful btw..I had a very nice trio of gold laced that I gave away, going to get a few eggs here n there off the girl I gave them to, but with only the 2 hens, neither which lay regularly, it's a little of a pain.

I have a friend who has a hatchery and she handles all the ordering, hatching etc. right now she is even brooding them as we are in the middle of a farm move. By importing I mean out of province, I'm not sure if she has tried to import eggs from the States. Hatch rate seems to depend on egg hardiness, timing of the egg harvest, and shipping handling, so it can be a bit if a gamble. I live somewhere where travelling to get chicks or birds is very expensive, so hatching eggs is a good alternative. No one nearby is breeding top hats, so this is the best way to start a small flock

I didn't realize that you weren't in the US.. I was just reading up and it looks like as long as the US considers exporting country Newcastle free and I the eggs don't pass through any port known to have AI, it's pretty simple..I'm sure it would be mighty pricey..
