I am new to polish, but just love the breed. I am wondering if anyone is willing to talk genetics with me? The questions I have are probably silly, but I have to ask.

Questions 1: I Have a blue roo with two blue hens. Are Polish like any other breed in that I should get 25% black, 25% splash, and 50% blue (if that is even correct)? Sorry I am new to this.

Questions 2: I have another Polish rooster that looks like he is a splash. He is white bodied with a black crest. His body has black feathers randomly like a splash marans. I wasn't aware that splash we a color for Polish.

The Blue in the Polish works the same as blue in other breeds of Chickens.

This is Philomena. She was very frail as a baby and spent her first week in the hospital brooder. She is doing wonderfully well and beginning to grow.

How are these for egg laying? I have two I managed to score at tractor supply in an assorted bantam trough. They are by far the coolest looking chicks with their shaft fro's. Only two weeks old, and am having a wicked hard time figuring out the sex
