I can't keep him if he's a roo, I'm upset now as it's my friendliest and favourite, are they loud?

My neighbor lives about three tenths of a mile from me and I can hear his rooster very well. My cockerels and roosters crow back and forth with the neighbor's roo all the time. So, if you live in a neighborhood, then a next-door neighbor would be able to hear your roosters inside of thier home.

I must have lost my mind. I got this 2 yr old Rooster at a swap Saturday. He's in standard quarantine for now. Wiggy (short for the name he came with) will be the rooster in charge of the Polish group.
@lucy83 This guy is LOUD! wakes us up every morning at the crack of dawn.

Look at those wattles  Good luck with him :D

@chickensfan, I haven't heard him yet but only 16 weeks old, what age do they usually start crowing?
well, mine started making strangled noises and throwing their heads back (no sound came out sometimes.) at about 6 weeks. now, at 3 months old, they make sounds like creaking doors, but my polish roo, Hats (in my avatar.) hasn't crowed yet. i know he is male because of the wattle development and stringy fountain crest. he still hasn't lost his baby chirp (the rest of the flock has) and has never crowed once.

here are more photos of Hats up-close...

he poses for pics now. at the vet's office, he was the talk of the office. everyone took like a million pics of him and he just posed. he was so cute, they let him walk around the office. lol.
