Yeah I should say I have white crested black polish. Their wattles tend to show up sooner then the other colors I've noticed on here.

Sounds like my splash. He's had red on his chin since 3 weeks, and now he has wattles. It seems like the un-bearded varieties are easier to tell at a younger age. What do you think?

thank you so much! he is the kindest of all the roos...LOL. (his head is a bit purple from Blue-Kote. he gets pecked on in his blood feathers, and then the other chickens go crazy.)

yup. except for me, it's a mean cock. any ideas on how to make him kinder? i am currently squirting him in the face with ACV and water. i can't get it in his face though. he moves to fast. LOL.

Lol I've heard the water trick works pretty well although we haven't tried it yet lol. We hold our roosters Dailey and snuggle them. Lots of cuddles and treats lmao. It may not be dignified but our roosters are incredibly friendly lmao..

I read online if they are acting aggressive to stand still like a tree until they stand down and then to pick them up and carry them around while you do chores or what not all the while talking to them soothingly. I'm not sure if it works but we suddenly have alot of roosters so you never know lol.
