Hi I know this is a old post, but I'm hopeful you can Help. I have a Beautiful Polish Frizzle, and I was under the impression "Pippy" was a hen? Now I'm unsure???? Any ideas?

How old is Pippy? These two of mine both turned out to be pullets but it took an awful long time to know for sure due to the frizzle gene ~

At 4 weeks it's too early to tell yet what gender Pippy is.

Tail, wattles and behaivour are the usual giveaways. Polish are hard enough to sex at the best of time but adding the frizzle in there makes it more difficult.
Here is my young cockerel Poppet when he was about 6 months old. He had developed some wattles and crowed a couple of times ~

Keep posting pics on here as Pippy gets older and I'm sure we will be able to help you. Pippy is very cute by the way

Poppet is handsome, those little red things on his face, pippy has that too. Do Hens get small ones and Rooster get bigger red parts?
