Ehen I got them on the 13th of October I was told they were both 4 weeks which I know is not correct for her. There is heat in the coop. She just went in prior to me taking the picture.Much too young. The little on looks like an appenzeller, and it also look sick or cold, probably too young to be without heat.
I don't think that they are that old. Maybe five weeks, possibly six. It's possible the little one is a bantam. A little young I think. Wait a couple more weeks, an we should be able to tell.Ehen I got them on the 13th of October I was told they were both 4 weeks which I know is not correct for her. There is heat in the coop. Do you think I should bring her back inside. They went in the outdoor coop on Thrusday?Much too young. The little on looks like an appenzeller, and it also look sick or cold, probably too young to be without heat.
If she has access to heat she should be okay, especially if she stands more normal when she's warmer. If she still stays hunched than I might worry.Do you think I should bring her back inside. They went in the outdoor coop on Thrusday?
She is eating and drinking and sleeps with the rest of the flock. I checked her over today and it appears she is having difficulty passing stool. I soaked her bottom and some stool came out. I put her by herself with a heat lamp at 70 she is eating and drinking and not directly under the lamp. She is separated from her flock mate is is chirping a lot.Are larger birds picking on the little one? Often they will bully a smaller bird away from feed and water, or a good place on the roost. Hunched up can be a sign of sickness.
Pasty butt will definitely make her feel unwell. Keep checking it to make sure she is clear every day. The other chick may help to keep her warm. She is eating and drinking and sleeps with the rest of the flock. I checked her over today and it appears she is having difficulty passing stool.
