I fail to see how this relates to anything. People are willing to work in many places. And I fail to see how reducing discretionary wealth by a small percentage is punishing anyone Punishment would be reducing your wealth to such a degree that you have difficulty functioning in your society.
That discretionary wealth is invested in our nations farms, factories and stores. Without that capital available, society cannot produce and distribute the goods we need. Who do you think buys all of that stock and bonds?
I am also not a fan at all of Piers Morgan but that to me seems like inappropriate sarcasm and not an expression of actual glee. Inappropriate reguardless. Oy. Also a good reason why people who want to be taken seriously probably shouldn't twitter fight... It sort of sad this is what news is now.
I feel like if you are making 99% of the total income then paying 99% of the total taxes is really just meeting the bare minimum. It does not seem like a burden or an overextension. I came close to doubling my income this year. Because my extra income is 1099 and I will actually MORE than double the amount of taxes I have to pay. It is freelance so I understand why that happens. My qualify of life still has improved exponentially, it is certainly not a deterrent to continue to expand my business.
edited: with the extra income I did take on one employee.
Quote: Hitler's forces worked to suppress any opposition. Before the first German soldier crossed the border, Heinrich Himmler and a few SS officers landed in Vienna to arrest prominent representatives of the First Republic, such as Richard Schmitz, Leopold Figl, Friedrich Hillegeist and Franz Olah. During the few weeks between the Anschluss and the plebiscite, authorities rounded up Social Democrats, Communists and other potential political dissenters, as well as Jews, and imprisoned them or sent them to concentration camps. Within only a few days of 12 March, 70,000 people had been arrested. The plebiscite was subject to large-scale propaganda and to the abrogation of the voting rights of around 400,000 people (nearly 10% of the eligible voting population), mainly former members of left-wing parties and Jews.[27]
Yes, let's see that and in its context. I watched the whole programme and didn't hear him say he was 'glad'. The text must be on the CNN website by now.
