ex would almost never hug without me asking and always grimaced when I did ask. Not sure how or why I put up with someone for 10 years who didn't want to hug me - or why he spent 10 years with someone he didn't want to hug.

We're not huggers, the kids are hugged often, but we're more sid on the sofa with our head in the other's lap. Reason, my face is the height of his armpits.... I've never been one for hugging.
