I used to live on Torch Lake. (Yeah, lucky. I know.) I haven't been in a lake or pool in many years, but I bet I could still swim or float or tread water for a loooong time. As long as the water was warm, not too rough, etc.

Oh yeah, if the water is cold, I ain't even gonna try and save myself. Imma just sink and hope wherever I go is warmer than that icy grip of chlorine

I can, but I don't like to. My brother held me under too many times, so I had to work really hard to overcome my fear of the water. He grew into an Olympic class swimmer who played water polo.

like THE Rock. He'd go under in seconds. Muscle mass is way more dense and you're gonna be negatively buoyant if you're ripped.
