Thanks, Summer. In school I wasn't cute, I wasn't popular, I wasn't rich. But by golly I was smart in English.

It's sounds wrong. Who the heck talks like that?

I've been swimming since I was a toddler. I was on the swim and water polo teams in high school. I was slain a lifeguard every summer for years and even taught swim classes for a while. I can swim like a mermaid. Heck, I might be a mermaid.

I am very comfortable in the water. Always had a pool in the back yard growing up. Vacationed on our houseboat and loved to dive off the roof. Loved it so much, in fact, that I became a diver in middle school (junior high when I was a kid). Continued to dive all the way through high school and most of college, coaching kids here and there along the way. However, I’ve never gad an actual swim lesson in my life. While I’m safe in the water and love to play in it, I’ve only done actual lap swimming as an adult for exercise. It’s painfully slow and probably not pretty!
