Mom ran out of canning supplies in the middle of canning. She sent me to the store. I was 11.

Started driving for a hay crew at 8 or 9. Driving said hay crew on roads to barn starting 10 or 11. First ‘real’ road trip at 12. Boss told me to follow the signs from Salem to Girabaldi and wake him up when we get there.

It was different ’back then’ and I’m not that old. (41)

I learned to drive (My Daddy taught me) when I was 14. It was a 1967 Impala fast back, automatic transmission and power nothing.
The next year I learned standard in a VW beetle. I rather a standard. Most of my vehicles have been standards. DS learned to drive in a Triumph Spitfire, 4 on the floor.
That was a great little car.

My husband taught me how to drive a stick shift in his 1997 Metro. I'm not really good at it but I can get from point A to point B

the chevelle and porsche turbo were sold this year. the bronco is at our beach house, and the red vette is at our place down in florida.

the urus is my daily, and the white vette was a christmas gift for my wife. she wanted a fun toy.

Learned around 15 friends manual chevy cavalier. Bought and sold my first car before I got my license. Should never have sold it. A 1978 2 door Malibu w/350. Got license at 18. Needed driving school certificate cause i quit school but didn't have to actually go since everyone has thier price

I had to teach myself, parents didn't own one and our drivers ed group got the automatic.
