Hello everyone! As a Silkie enthusiast, I am curious to know what the popular Silkie colors are. Honestly I don't know if I have a favorite color as I love all of my Silkie chickens! I can't wait to see everyone's responses and feel free to post pictures of your silkies as well. Have fun!

Well here i am clicking all my favorites and wondering why the rest didnt show up...only can pick one!! I guess chocolate would be it even thought i only have blue, black and buff lol

I'm still learning these colors, so I can't tell much, but Nicalandia would be more then happy to give you full detail on the differences.

Khaki is a unique Allele on the Dominant White gene, that acts abit like Blue.

Mauve is Chocolate X Blue. Chocolate is a separate Gene, but Khaki can produce Fake Chocolate colored birds called Dun, when bred to black.

This is just my simplification.

I love them all but am partial to the white, as I have a white roo.

I think this color is beautiful but not sure what color it is? Someone told me black with copper leakage.
