POLL: What is the most number of days it has taken to hatch an egg under broody hen?

Today is day 21 for us. Nothing so far. I am going to try to remove miss broody tomorrow and candle the eggs to see what we have. I am new to all of this...just starting raising chickens about 3 or 4 months ago and this is my first broody hen

. I was unaware that the hen will return to the nest if we removed her. I am keeping my fingers crossed for some baby chicks!

I wish you the best. To give you a little hope, I set my eggs under our broody hen at 9:00 pm on May 11th, Friday night. We got 3 chicks on Friday night 3 weeks later at about 5:00 pm. Then we got 2 more during the night on day 22 and then 1 more in the afternoon on day 22. I am still hoping for more! I have read that your 21 days should fall on the same day of the week as when you placed the eggs under the hen.

I thought my Candy would never do it!! I checked on her this morning and I had 3 little black heads poke out! My daughter wanted to go out now and double check and we have another little baby!!

We have a seven eggs left and a couple look to be pipped (I didn't look at the eggs, but looked at the pictures). I am so tickled and my daughter (4 years) is so excited!!!!

Day 20 here and I hear pecking from within! I'm so excited! We have 2 muscovy ducks and 2 bantam cochins all sitting on a combo of their eggs...funny creatures...most of the duck eggs have disappeared (??) but the remaining 2 should be right about day 34-35.
