What Is Your Favorite Duck Breed?

Muscovy are the best!! They are very quiet unlike the mallard derived breeds, and I think they are some of the friendliest ducks ever. In my opinion they are a little more fun to watch than the mallard derived breeds just because of their funny body language.

I personally don't like muscovy because of their face.

Their face is adorable especially the females they don't have as much red caruncles

I got a Welsh Harlequin because I thought they were so pretty. But, compared to my Khaki’s, she is loud and obnoxious. Maybe I just got a poor representative. My current favorite, which wasn’t a choice, is my Silver Crested Swedish. She is quiet and sweet.

Runners, but I am biased, because they are the only ones I have owned.
However, I didn't choose them without doing lots of research.
Insofar as the 'skittish' reputation, mine tolerate the dogs and come running when they see me.
Biggest minus, or possibly plus of the Runners is that they are not broody. Another consideration is that their eggs taste like chicken eggs.
