My Brown Africans are 8 weeks old now. The past couple days I take them to the pond with me. The ducks come up to them curious, Sarah chases them away. Both geese will now 'walk' on the shallow end near me, drinking, dabbling, trimming grass but not really go all the way in. Which I am ok with as I am not sure I can let them go onto the pond unattended yet? They are still quite attached to me hehe. If I walk away the cry and run out of the pond and follow me. I love those guys.

Anyway- I am curious when I can let them 'go' onto the pond? By this time I was able to let my ducks go on the pond. I am just curious about their feathering at this point?

I will be back and share some pics. :D

Wow have they grown! They are looking very nice. My geese chase the chickens away not the ducks. Those treacherous non webbed foot birds!
They were babies with the chickens and seem to find them not even worthy of their attention. If I leave the coop door open the geese shoot in there super fast and try to eat their flock raiser (man the geese love that stuff!). But if the ducks get close to them- whoa nelly Sarah is all over them while Chuck hides behind me. Silly goose. Chuck is taller and bigger than Sarah is now. We call them gorses. Goose + horse. They seriously eat like horses and they follow you around like horses do. Too funny.
