pond?

i have a pond in my back yard can my chickens drink from it without getting sick?

Chickens (and most other barnyard animals) will drink from the nastiest water they can find and seem to come to no harm. I'd be more concerned with them wading in too deep and drowning. They seem to get minerals and other needed nutrients from the nasty stuff they drink/eat.

My ducks drink their pond water all the time, and the water has no effect on them. the water shouldn't have any effect on your chickens unless it's dangerously contaminated with something unnatural.

My chickens drink from my pond and any other standing water they can find even though I provide them with fresh cold drinking water every day. Que sera sera.
