poo problem

Yup, I agree with all of the above. We're all surrounded by poo, including our own, but we do like it to be by choice.

I'm so glad to hear most people seem to agree that the neighbors are not crazy for wanting to enjoy their own yard without worrying about someone else's dog's poop. Around here, I'm the "crazy woman" that doesn't appreciate cleaning up after the neighbor's dogs. That's what they went around telling people after I finally called animal control about their dogs running loose. We've asked them to keep their dogs up, we've sent them a letter, and we've called AC twice. Still I'm left cleaning up the mess. I'm sick of picking up poop and sweeping my driveway after their dogs scratch dirt and mulch all over it after doing their "business". From now on, the poop I pick up gets dumped back in the middle of their driveway. My dogs are fenced in their own yard and my chickens are in their own pen so that I'm not supposed to have to worry about stepping in poop everywhere else. Keep your dog in your own yard!

Edited to add - I actually called AC because two of their dogs were large and aggressive, not just because of the poop. Still they think I'm the one in the wrong.

Not to mention the fact that if your dog chases their horses through a fence, you'll have a lot more to worry about than poop. I'm surprised they even tolerate neighbors' loose dogs around their horses.

Okay folks,
In our defense we do not let our dog run free we let her out for about 15 to 20 minutes in the morning while we are getting ready for work or school. We do keep watch on her and have been keeping watch on her since the call from the neighbor. We do care about where our animals go and respect their property and their privicy. It just so happens that when she is out that she was going in the neighbor's yard which we were not aware of. We have three acres why would she go somewhere else.We did apolozie to the neighbor and have been trying to make a menz. So please don't think that I am heartless because I posted something that I thought that was silly.

I don't believe anyone thought you were heartless. If it's only 15 min. you have her out to go potty, then put her on a leash is all. Here's another view, if by some chance, either dog ( yours or theirs ) has any kind of worm, especially whip worm, it is now on thier property, or vice versa. You also can't really kill whip worm out of the gournd. It's a nasty bug. So look at it as a way of protecting your dog too, in case they don't keep the animals up to date with shots and worming.

Update;

Recieved another call from the neighbor and he claims our dog has been in thier yard again. He hasn't seen her there. But assures us that it is her.
Ever since this all began we go out with her and she is locked in one of our out buildings when no one is home. She does not leave the yard or our sight when she is out. I am at a loss.
