Pool sand for a dust bath?

Has anyone ever used pool sand as a dust bath? It’s a dry silica sand for pool filters.

Not the best choice as it's very fine and would be a respiratory irritant.
Good old plain dirt is fine for dust bathing.

I've heard peat moss makes a great dust bath

Thanks so much. Just had some on hand and thought I’d get rid of it but I’ll just use our google old Florida sandy soil instead.

If you have them in a run, they should already be digging their own.
No need to 'make' one.
