Pools for Ducks

Just make sure they are throwing them out, transportation companys charge customers for the blue ones and they have a return deposit on them
oh, well that's a problem! I got some nice hardwood pallets at home depot a few years ago and they didn't care. They weren't painted blue but were definitely hardwood.

Very nice wanna come help me with that?

🤔
Sure! I think it should be easy enough. Need to go deeper?

I have seen Koi ponds built in a similar way. My only concern is those webbies have claws. I may give it a try and see how well it holds up.
I plan to run a de-icer. Whatever I do I will certainly post step by step pics.

I think this is like the one @Runner duck mom has!
Yes, that is the pool we have. The drain really is the biggest problem, not big enough though I bet you could install a bigger drain over the existing one.
There are also pools designed for dogs though I have no experience with them.

We are learning a lot building our new run. Before we had the pool (both the blue Intex pool and the cement mixing tub) up on a wooden deck.

In the rest of the run we had landscape fabric covered with mulch. This helped to keep down on mud and other general crud getting into the pool.
For now we have wood chips down and the pool on the ground and their pool/ water dishes get super gross very fast!

Can't wait to get finished and get things back to normal...but having the pool up off the ground was a huge help.
Doesn't help it has been raining here nonstop, everything is mud but the ducks love it :)

I have one of those but never managed to put it up last year. I figured I could get a pump and use that to filter out and drain it. For the price I paid I couldn’t argue with it. I think it was 22 bucks on wish for one of those in the 4x8 size. The filter will cost me like 50 to get together eventually.
