Are the Roost and or the Poop Board secured to the bracket/wall? or do they just set in the groove?

I used a screw on each end of the roost so it wouldn't bounce out, but the poop board just sits in the groove.

I'll be working on my roosting area within the next couple of weeks. I like the idea of having the "poop tray" up off of the ground. Easier to get to and clean. I plan on using the wet vac to clean it. We can only have 4 hens and contemplating one bar or two. I want to keep the noise down as much as possible, so am leaning towards one bar to reduce pecking order squabbles.

Supported by shelf brackets.

The one on the right comes out, away from the wall, at an angle (we needed a longer perch). You can see the little piles of poop; proof that they work.
