What is the cat litter actually made from?

The cat litter than I use is made from Whole Corn. So I guess in a worst case scenario, the chickens will try to eat it.... I think other natural litters are silica based.

That's interesting, I haven't had cats for decades.
Still you never know what else might be in there as I don't think its the law to list all ingredients

You have a good point, I found it hard to find the Ingredients list. It has all the right buzz words "bio-degradable" "all natural." As cat litter I've never put it in my compost bin but I've dumped in the woods and indeed it melts away with water, while clay based litters are just gross.....
