poop board

I use pine shaving litter, and decided to install a poop board. One hen has been laying in the corner of the coop under the roost, anyway, I put the poop board up high enough so that she could still go under there...only to find a smashed egg on the poop board today...guess I have to get her trained to use the nest before I can use the board...

They'll figure it out. When my girls first started laying, I would find them on the floor of the coop in the corner usually. I did the old golf ball in the nest box idea and they just started on their own laying in their own.
