poop boards - whats the best and cleanest way to make and keep up with

I have two boot trays that just fit below the two roosts. Cover with some newspaper in the evening before the girls go to bed.
Clean up in the morning, shake the poop from the newspaper into my tomato patch or compost box and put the newspaper in the trash.

i use weed blocker as a poop hammock and clean every few days(scoop and compost) and change material as needed plus the girls can utilize space underneath.

Once in awhile they tney dust bath in it but its always cleaned out by then.

My droppings boards are plywood covered with linoleum, and I just scrape them off with a stainless steel putty knife like this:
