Hello everyone, I am finishing up my coop and my last step is the placement of the roost, but I have a question about poop boards. If I already have sand on the floor of the coop, do I need to put in poop boards or can I just sift the poop out of the sand below the roost? I am totally new to this and would like others opinions. Thanks.

You can just sift below the roost; Yet, the benefit of the poop board is that you gain the use of the space below the board! My poop board is basically a 26" wide table and I can use the space below it for a water container or feeder. Without the board it is pretty much just a waste pile area. Hope this Helps!
