I have a 3 pack of adoptees.

From day 1, at least one of the three chickens has had poop that has looked similar to this. I didn't worry too much about it in the beginning. There's a lot of stress with being rehomed. Eventually, most of the poop went from this to normal in the few weeks they have been here.

However, I am still seeing this poop. (Reddish/brownish, loose - almost all of it. Sometimes the reddish/brownish mixed with more solid poop.)

The chickens are eating, drinking, socializing (with each other & with me), and sleeping well. They have grown since they have been here. The chickens are not with my main flocks yet...gotta make sure all is well. :)

Thoughts?

I have a couple that have just loose red/Brown. I was concerned until I saw them eating ants out of an ant bed, the dirt was about that color. Lol maybe yours found something yummy too. If they are acting fine, I wouldn't be too concerned..

They could be shedding intestinal Lining.I have had some chicks pooping red blood mixed with normal poop. Most people go screaming that it is Cocci. They are just building up a immunity to diseases on your property.Keep watching them.Just because there acting fine means there fine,Chickens are masters at hiding disease's.

Thanks MasterOfClucker. :)

Is there such a thing as a chicken poop guide?
